Solution Hinges on Autonomy Plan (Peruvian Expert)

The solution to the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara hinges on the acceptance of the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco, said Peruvian expert in international relations, Ricardo Sánchez Serra.

In an article published by website "Prensa21", Sánchez Serra underlined that "the solution hinges on the acceptance of autonomy in the perspective of setting free the population imprisoned by +the Polisario+ in the camps of Tindouf in Algeria".

The Peruvian expert noted that, in the provinces of southern Morocco, the inhabitants enjoy political freedom and economic development driven by Morocco, while commissions have been established to protect and promote human rights.

On the position of President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, who reiterated at the UN General Assembly, Spain's call for a political solution based on compromise, in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, Sanchez Serra affirmed that this is not the first time that Spain states its stand on this regional conflict created by Algeria, that is to say by referring to the Security Council resolutions.

At a time when Morocco demands respect for its territorial integrity, a position which enjoys ever-growing support within the international community, "the Polisario" continues taking tens of thousands of individuals as hostages in the camps of Tindouf, said the Peruvian expert.

"The pseudo sadr (...) is fake, it does not exist. It does not have the conditions that international law requires for a state status", he insisted, recalling that several countries have already withdrawn their recognition of the puppet entity.

"It should be noted that Algeria has been designated as party to the regional conflict. In reality, it is not part of the problem, it is the problem, because the +polisario+ is only its puppet and has no decision-making power, " Sánchez Serra noted.
