African Union, ‘inconceivable’ Without Morocco – Senegal’s FM

The African Union cannot be thought of without Morocco, said Senegal’s Foreign Minister Mankeur Ndiaye.

“Morocco is a fully fledged member of the African family and none has the right to exclude the Kingdom,” said Ndiaye in an interview with MAP on the occasion of the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Dakar.

“We think that time is up for Morocco to return to the African Union naturally in conditions to be determined,” said the Minister.

Ndiaye recalled Morocco’s pioneering efforts to achieve African unity, noting that Senegal’s and other African countries are ready to support Morocco’s return to the African union.
