Al-Quds Committee, Under HM the King's Chairmanship, "Only Party" Honoring Financial Commitments to Al-Quds & Maqdessis, Palestinian F

The Al-Quds Committee, an offshoot of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) chaired by HM King Mohammed VI, is the "only party" that honors its financial commitments to Al-Quds and Maqdessis, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Maliki said, Tuesday in Dakar.

The head of the Palestinian diplomacy was speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the International Conference on Al-Quds Al-Sharif, at the initiative of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

Answering MAP question on his assessment of the Al-Quds Committee's role in supporting Maqdessis and protecting the holy city, Maliki said that "many parties promised us help and support, but only the Al-Quds Committee, through the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, honors its commitments of the financial support to the holy city."

"It is our vision that we express freely and it is the truth that we find on the ground as Palestinian officials. It is also a firsthand truth for all Maqdessi citizens that live inside or outside the holy city", he insisted.

He stressed that "the inhabitants of Al-Quds know very well who is the brother and loyal friend that promises and honors its commitments" and who are those who talk, multiply the promises, but never deliver. In this regard, he said that "the money spent as part of the Al-Quds support projects came only from Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif, and sometimes from the personal funds of HM King Mohammed VI who grants particular attention to this issue."
