Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud

Rabat - The situation of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, on hunger strike, shows the bias of some human rights organizations to the separatist position, said, Thursday, Communications Minister, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi.

The case of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, who is observing a hunger strike since May 20 in Nouakchott, is a flagrant violation of human rights committed by the Polisario, which deprived this Sahrawi activist of his basic rights, especially visit to his family, El Khalfi told the press after the cabinet meeting.

The "exceptional" resistance of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud is that of a "Moroccan Sahrawi figure having faith in the autonomy project" proposed by Morocco to end the artificial conflict over the Sahara, the minister said.

He underlined that "the Sahrawi militant struggles to lay bare human rights violations committed by the enemies of Morocco's territorial integrity.
