Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) Khalihenna Ould Errachid met, on Thursday in Rabat, with visiting vice-speaker of the Chilean parliament, Clemira Pacheco Rivas.


During the meeting, Khalihenna and Pacheco Rivas discussed the latest developments in the Sahara issue, particularly in Latin America, as well as within the United Nations and the Security Council, which holds today a session to vote on a new draft resolution.


Clemira Pacheco Rivas, who also met on Wednesday with speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, hailed the Moroccan-Chilean relations at all levels, notably parliamentary ties, stressing the need to strengthen them between the various components of civil society in the two countries in order to exchange experience and take advantage of best practices.
