Head of CORCAS meets with Pakistan's ambassador to Morocco

Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) Khalihenna Ould Errachid met, on Tuesday in Rabat, with Pakistan's Ambassador to Morocco Mohammed Waheed Al Hassan. A statement by the Council said that Ould Errachid reviewed during this meeting with Waheed Al Hassan, the historical stages of the decolonization of Morocco (1956-1975), throwing light on the creation of the conflict over the Sahara during the Cold War and the various stages of the dispute since 1975 until today.

The President of CORCAS also provided information about the political conditions and the ins and outs of the Polisario creation. He also examined the different phases of the Sahara issue and the context of the creation of CORCAS by HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the broad lines of the Moroccan autonomy project as a final settlement for this conflict.
