Western Sahara: King Abdullah II Reiterates Jordan’s Support for Morocco

King Abdullah II of Jordan reiterated his country’s position in favor of Morocco’s territorial integrity, said a joint statement issued on Thursday following the official working visit to the Kingdom by the Hashemite sovereign and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.

The Jordanian sovereign underlined that the Moroccan autonomy proposal, for the settlement of the artificial dispute over the so-called Western Sahara, is the basis for any negotiated solution between the parties involved, said the statement.

King Abdullah II lauded, on this occasion, the reform process led by King Mohammed VI which helped Morocco achieve huge progress in development and in the political field, it added.
