Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) called on the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, to inquire into the refusal of Algiers to grant entry visas to an EU mission to investigate violations of human rights in Tindouf.

In a parliamentary question, deputies Rachida Dati and Gilles Pargneaux mentioned that members of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) who wanted to inquire about human right violations in the Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria), have been repeatedly denied entry visas from Algerian authorities

The MEPs requested Mogherini to refer to that issue in the next EU-Algeria Association Council.
