The Moroccan Sahara issue and the transitional justice experience were presented Wednesday in Tunis at a series of meetings held during the world social forum.

Moroccan activists and union militants have informed peers from the world attending the forum of the reality of the situation in the Sahara and the legitimacy of Moroccan claims as well as the dismal situation of Moroccans sequestered in the Tindouf camps in Southwestern Algeria.

The Moroccan transitional justice experience was also the axis of a colloquium which followed various presentations on the Justice and Reconciliation Commission that addressed serious human rights violations committed in the past.

These meetings were also an opportunity to speak about political reforms adopted by Morocco and the enactment of a new constitution as well as the remarkable development dynamism of the Moroccan civil society.
