MEP Mario Borghezio said, here Tuesday, that Morocco is a "very important and vital" partner for the European Union (EU).
In statement to MAP, the MEP stressed the importance of cooperation between the EU and Morocco, particularly in the fight against terrorism and management of the migration phenomenon.
Borghezio criticized the ruling of the European Court of Justice on the Morocco-EU agricultural agreement, adding that this court has become a "second legislator". "This is not possible, the agreements are agreements and the EU shall understand this very well", he added.
He urged the EU to reinforce its partnership with Morocco and to respect past agreements. "Agreements are agreements, and Morocco is a very important and vital partner for the future of the European Union", he underlined.
