Laayoune – UN secretary general’s personal envoy for the Sahara, Christopher Ross, arrived this Friday in Laayoune, part of a tour in the region.

The UN official will meet, in this Moroccan southern city, local authorities, elected officials, heads of Sahrawi tribes and activists of the civil society.

 

Ross held last week talks in Rabat with head of the government, Abdelilah Benkirane, speakers of the House of representatives and chamber of advisors, respectively Karim Ghellab and Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah and minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar.
