ADDIS ABABA - Foreign minister of the Seychelles, Jean-Paul Adam, on Sunday reiterated his country's support for Morocco’s territorial integrity.
In a statement to the press following his meeting with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Saad El Dine Otmani, the Seychelles' Foreign minister expressed his support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the southern provinces, the Sahara.
“The territorial integrity is a vital issue for States. We see this in Mali. It is very important to respect these principles which are the basis for all African countries”, he said.
Regarding bilateral relations, he said that the Seychelles and Morocco enjoy privileged relationship that should be further strengthened especially in the field of tourism, an area where the two countries share many similarities.
Adam also commended the leadership of Morocco in the UN Security Council and its effective contribution in the international efforts to fight the adverse impact of climate change.
