The United Arab Emirates voiced on Tuesday its support for Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara and condemned the terrorist activities of the Hezbollah and the Polisario.

 According to the minutes issued at the end of the 5th session of the Morocco-UAE joint committee, held in Abu Dhabi under the co-chairmanship of Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Emirati counterpart, HH Sheikh Abdellah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates said that no settlement of this artificial regional conflict is possible outside the sovereignty of the Kingdom and its territorial integrity.

The United Arab Emirates also condemned the terrorist activities involving the Hezbollah and the Polisario and their attempts aimed at undermining the security and stability of Morocco and its territorial integrity.

The Emirates also commended the pioneering role played by HM King Mohammed VI in strengthening the foundations of sustainable development and promoting peace, security and stability in the African continent to fulfil peoples' aspirations for progress and prosperity.

The session was held upon the instructions of HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the State of the United Arab Emirates, during the royal visit to the UAE, on November 11, 2017.
