When pro-polisario individuals trample on Swedish democracy

Stockholm - Moroccan MP Rkiya Eddarham and member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan affairs (CORCAS) Lahcen Mahraoui were expelled from a meeting on the Sahara, held on Thursday at the Swedish parliament, in a blatant biased gesture by the organizers.

choosing to listen only to hackneyed allegations by representatives of the separatists as Aminatou Haidar, the organizers, among whom were members of the socio-democrats and greens parties which are known for their blind support for the polisario, did not allow discordant voices to speak, in contradiction with the principles of free speech that makes the Swedish democracy.

In front of the dumbfounded audience, Mahraoui denounced this aggressive and unjustifiable gesture which runs counter all democratic values advocated by Stockholm as bases for its constitution, before been removed forcibly from the hall.

Rkiya Eddarham and Lahcen Mahraoui, of Sahrawi origin, had foreseen this turn of events and distributed in the parliament an open letter refuting the false arguments of the separatists and explaining the real reasons behind the sufferings of the Sahrawi population, namely the Algerian policy in support of the polisario and its hostility to any solution of compromise to end this issue.
